CLASSES
Thursday Evening Classes
The League City Fencers Club is the local chapter of the Rogue Fencers Guild, a USA Fencing member club. We offer classes through the auspices of the League City Parks & Recreation Department. Our classes are on Thursday evening at the Community Center, 400 S. Kansas, in League City.
Classes are offered on a monthly basis, rotating each month between foil, epee and sabre. The fee is $65.00/month for League City residents. There may be an additional fee for non-residents.

Equipment is available for fencers in the Youth and Cadet classes. Fencers in the Competitive group are expected to own all or most of their own gear.

YOUTH FENCING: Appropriate to fencers ages 7 to 11. As mentioned, our focus rotates each month from foil to sabre to epee. Generally the first three Thursdays include various warm up games/exercises; footwork drills; and, blade work practice. On the final Thursday of the month we usually fence using the same electric/electronic equipment as used at a regular tournament.

CADET FENCING: The is the basic class for teens and adults (ages 12+). It follows largely the same format as the Youth Class.

COMPETITIVE FENCING: This is more a practice session for our competitors. Some loaner equipment is available, but limited to the weapon focused on that month by the Youth and Cadet classes. Competitive fencers are free to practice any of the three weapons for which they have the equipment.
